Body Tone

Body Tone is a fast and enjoyable way to shape up and lose body fat. It’s a toning and conditioning class with weights and is for just about everybody who wants to add strength training into their aerobic workout. The simplicity of the class makes Body Tone a great starting point to develop strength and confidence. Great sounds and compelling choreography keep you going through each 45-minute or one-hour workout. You’ll use a step platform, a bar and a set of weights.

Boxercise

Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. Classes can take a variety of formats but a typical one may involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads and punchbags, press-ups, shuttle-runs and sit-ups. Most Boxercise classes are aimed at men and women of all ages and fitness standards. As no class involves the physical hitting of an opponent, it is a fun, challenging and safe workout.

Circuits

Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina. The circuit training format utilises a group of 6 to 10 strength exercises that are completed one exercise after another. Each exercise is performed for a specified number of repetitions or for a prescribed time before moving on to the next exercise. The exercises within each circuit are separated by brief, timed rest intervals, and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period. The total number of circuits performed during a training session may vary from two to six depending on your training level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced), your period of training (preparation or competition) and your training objective.

Legs, Bums and Tums

Legs Bums and Tums is a form of exercise that is practiced worldwide by millions of people and, as the title suggests, concentrates on toning movements for the aforementioned areas.

The class incorporates an aerobic theme with choreographed movements executed in time to the tempo of the music. Squats, lunges, jumps, twists etc all help to develop a toned posterior with the final third of the class concentrating on the abdominal area of the body with a variety of challenging and fun stomach routine.

Spinning:

Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle called a spinning bike. As you pedal, motivating music plays while the instructor talks you through an ever changing cycling workout: During the class you vary your pace -- sometimes pedaling at pace, other times increasing the tension to replicate a hill climb and other times pedaling from a standing position. A combination of all of these actions during a spin class will provide a varied, motivational and challenging work out.

Stability Ball:

Stability Ball class is a multi - muscle workout using inner strength to stabilise and tone the body. The core muscles include not only those in your abdominals and back, but also muscles in your pelvic floor and hips. All these muscles, and more, work together to keep your trunk stable while your limbs are active. Strong core muscles keep your back healthy. They hold your body upright, improve your balance and enable you to really put some oomph in your arm and leg movements. If the core muscles are weak, your body doesn't work as effectively, and other muscles have to pick up the slack.

Yoga:

Yoga is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is achieved through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits. The poses can be carried out quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement, or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose. The poses are a constant, but the approach to them varies depending on the tradition in which the teacher has trained.

Regular participation of Yoga will promote a supple, flexible, strong and fit body with improved posture, breathing, concentration and focus as well as a greater ability to cope with stress and improved sleep.
